MetroParks Daily Fishing Permits-2025

This is to purchase a Daily Fishing Permit only. The Voice of America Lake is stocked annually in the spring. MetroParks fishing permits are only required to fish at VOA Lake. A State of Ohio fishing license is required to fish at all other park locations. If you are interested in purchasing an annual fishing permit, please visit the Voice of America Welcome Center during business hours. Children 5 years and younger can fish for free.
Ice Fishing is NOT Permitted.

We will help you get started recording your best observations of wild plants, animals, or fungi. You can also be a part of this citizen science initiative from anywhere! All observations in Butler County recorded in iNaturalist from April 25 - April 28 are automatically added to our local project, part of the larger global challenge.

Salute to Pioneers

Join the Pioneer Church Restoration Committee for the annual Salute to Pioneers! Brad Kramer, a registered surveyor and Director of Land Management in Preble County, will share how the first wave of settlers in western Butler County created plat maps and detailed field notes to serve as an inventory to inform potential settlers of the features, quality, and value of lands. A social hour will follow Kramer's presentation.
