Let's Go Hiking! Summer Wildflowers

Looking up at the sky, you will see a rainbow if you’re lucky, but did you know that there are also rainbows at your feet? There are beautiful, colorful summer wildflowers in bloom at this time of the year. Join us as we explore and identify these wonderful summer blooms!

FREE and open to all ages. Meet at the Overlook Shelter at Harbin Park in Fairfield. Registration is requested by calling 513.867.5348. Walk-ups are welcome!

Crazy Cardboard Regatta

BOATS! BOATS! BOATS! Cardboard boats, that is. The MetroParks of Butler County presents the 10th Annual Crazy Cardboard Regatta on Saturday, July 20th from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM at Voice of America MetroPark in West Chester! Do you think you’ve got what it takes? Then, sign your team up to build your own cardboard boat and join the amazing race around the lake! Sea legs aren’t quite ready; you say? No problem! Vendors, entertainment, activities, and more await you upon shore. So, come on out for some summer family fun, and don’t forget to keep calm and boat on! FREE for spectators!

Show and Tell on the Farm - ABC's of Farm Life

Let's continue the ABC's of Farm Life at Show and Tell! Through hands-on activities we'll learn about items starting with the letters "M and N" on the farm while enjoying a craft and snack. And don't forget to explore the gardens, visit the Augspurger House and animals, and play on the Nature Playscape, too. FREE program for all ages.

Ultimate Adventure Camp - PROGRAM CANCELLED

Enjoy each day’s theme with fun and interactive activities such as: exploring our cultural history, creeking, hiking, tie-dying and games. This camp is geared towards children 6-9 years old. Pre-registration required by Monday, July 15, 2019.

Trail Yoga

Harmonize your breath with the rhythm of nature and unwind from your busy day as we practice mindful movement with traditional yoga poses along the meandering forest trail. All body shapes, sizes, and experience levels are welcome. This is truly something you need to experience to appreciate!

Please note: Wear comfortable “old friend” closed-toed shoes, as we will be out on the trail. You will not need a yoga mat for this program.

Hump Day Concert: RoadTrip

Need a little mid-week relaxation? Then, come on out to Voice of America MetroPark for live music, food & beverages, and some good family fun at 7:00 p.m. by the Gazebo!

Creeking in the Parks - Governor Bebb

Join us every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. as we explore creeks and waterways at MetroParks of Butler County. We will be at a different park each week, so there are always new areas to explore! The things we will be looking for include: macroinvertebrates, fossils, fish, reptiles, and amphibians.

This week at Governor Bebb MetroPark, we will explore Dry Fork Creek, a watershed of Whitewater River, and ultimately the Great Miami River. There are many frogs and toads in this creek, so keep your eyes peeled!

Closed-toes shoes are required for all creeking events.

Join MetroParks of Butler County with partners Butler Soil and Water Conservation District and Ohio State University Extension, Butler County educators for some summer fun!
