Your summer fun has just begun! Open the PDF below, print it out, and head to a MetroPark! Once you have completed a square, color it in with a crayon, marker or pen. Complete 40 of the 50 Fun Things and turn your paper in for an instant prize and an entry into the grand prize drawing. To be eligible for prizes, your 50 Fun Things 'game board' must be completed and turned in at a MetroParks of Butler County program or to one of the following locations (please call for hours) by Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017. Grand prize winner will be drawn and announced on Friday, Sept. 1.

A Walk In The Park: Summer Walk Club

Walking is great for the mind, body and spirit. Enjoy a Walk In The Park with others. Tuesday and Thursday mornings in June, July and August - beginning June 13th.

Program plans include giveaways, healthy snacks and periodic pop up programs by YMCA trainers and MetroParks staff members.

The paved walking path at Rentschler Forest is stroller and pet friendly!

Show and Tell on the Farm - Solar Eclipse

Come on over to the farm to learn about the solar eclipse that is coming up soon. Don't forget to visit with the farm animals. FREE program for all.

MetroParks & Great Miami Rowing Center Learn to Row

Give rowing a try! Seasoned rowers and coaches will give you the opportunity to learn to row racing shells. Knowledgeable staff will answer your questions as you try out the equipment. What to wear: gym shorts & t-shirts that aren't too baggy, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, shoes that will not come off your feet. Bring water and socks. Recommended for ages 12 & up. Participation waiver must be signed. Learn to Row dates are 7/1, 7/29 & 10/1 at VOA and 6/3, 8/19 & 9/10 at Great Miami Rowing Center Hamilton.

Butterfly Hunt

It's the perfect time of year to look for butterflies and their predators. Bob Nuhn, local butterfly expert, will lead the way. If anyone can find them, it's Bob! He has led a local butterfly count for nearly 30 years submitting his findings to the North American Butterfly Association. Dress to be in the sun and walking through tall grasses. Bring water, sunscreen and bug spray. Program will be canceled in the case of rain. Meet in the main parking lot.

Come on over to Chrisholm Historic Farmstead for a BRAND NEW "Show and Tell" time at the Farm. Each program will be a little different with special guest stars, some Furry and some Feathery, and fun activities. Come for any amount of time during 2pm-4pm. Designed to delight kids and kids at heart.
