Health Nuts - Mammals

Health Nuts returns! Join MetroParks of Butler County, Soil and Water Conservation District and the OSU Extension Office for fun family summer programming. The series runs on selected dates June - August Each program has a different theme and will include education, recreation, health and a fun snack for all. Program is FREE of charge. All ages are welcome. This week the topic is mammals.

Contra Barn Dance featuring Full Moon Country Dance Orchestra

Put on your dancing shoes because the Full Moon Country Orchestra will be sending harmonies through the air at Chrisholm Historic Farmstead from the Rosemont Barn. MetroParks hosts a barn dance for all ages!

Contra dancing is a type of partnered folk dancing where couples dance to two facing lines and a caller is guiding participants through the steps.

All experience and ages are welcome!

Growing Strong with Weather

Growing Strong is an after school gardening program that is on-going throughout the growing season. Drop in whenever you like! Meet at Middletown Community Center, 800 Lafayette Rd., Middletown, OH 45044. Look for fun activities like experiments, crafts, recipe tasting, and let's not forget: playing in the dirt! This week our fun is all about Weather!

Hike one of the reserved areas of MetroParks. Enjoy the beautiful vistas from the ridge. Pre-registration required. Meet at parking lot at Forest Run MetroPark Wildlife Area 1810 New London Rd. Hamilton OH 45013. Look for the "Program Here" signs. This program is a FREE exploratory hiking program designed for active adults. Hikes are on last Saturday of the month at 10am - 12pm.
