Our kites may be able to fly with snow in the sky, but our feet can't run in the slippery mud. We are sad to announce that after speaking with our talented Operations staff about the conditions of the Voice of America practice fields after the recent very heavy rainfalls, the MetroParks of Butler County and PIGS Aloft kite club have decided to cancel Kites N MPX this year due to safety concerns and comfort reasons of our park customer/owners and event guests. And unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts of both the Athletic Complex and our expert kiters, rescheduling is not an option for 2018. Sometimes things just happen that are beyond our control – like crazy Ohio weather! We greatly apologize for any inconvenience, and we hope you will join us next year!

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Kites N MPX! Come on out to Voice of America MetroPark on April 7th to enjoy some spring-time fun at this FREE family-friendly event. Witness gigantic kite flying demonstrations and kite ballet, then head to the learn-to-fly field to try out some new tricks; buy a kite, or better yet, make your very own! And don't forget to check out all the great vendors before you leave! This unique event runs from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
