Due to recent rain, more in the forecast, and the water level in the creek at Sebald Park, Creeking in the Parks scheduled tomorrow 6/10/2021 has been cancelled. Please join us next week on June 17th at the Reigart Road Area of Rentschler Forest MetroPark.
Join MetroParks and partner, Butler Soil and Water Conservation District, every Thursday this summer from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. as we explore the creeks and waterways in the parks! The program will be held at a different park each week, so there are always new areas to explore! We will be looking for critters like: macroinvertebrates, fossils, fish, reptiles, and amphibians.
This week at the Sebald Park Area of Elk Creek MetroPark, we will explore the Elk Creek, which is a watershed of the Great Miami River. This is a great park to discover many critters and fossils!
We will meet at Shelter #2. Closed-toed shoes are required for all creeking events.
FREE and open to all ages! Registration is requested so we know you are coming! Walk-ins are also welcome. For more information call (513) 867-5835.
