Salamander Migration Adventure - 002
Description:
In the very early spring when the weather begins to warm up and the evenings become rainy, spotted salamanders at Indian Creek MetroPark begin their journey. It usually happens sometime between the first week of February and the end of March. Sign up for this unique opportunity to watch these migrating spotted salamanders as they move to their breeding vernal pools, and learn more about this species and other local amphibian creatures.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Registered participants will be contacted by email regarding the exact date and time when the migration begins. We will typically know the evening-before or morning-of. The email will state instructions on how to RSVP, pay the $10/person participation fee a and other important information, which includes responding by noon of the program/migration date. If registered participants are unable to attend the program or do not RSVP in time, those on the waiting list will be given the opportunity to attend.
