This is to purchase a Daily Fishing Permit only. The Voice of America Lake is stocked annually in the spring. MetroParks fishing permits are only required to fish at VOA Lake. A State of Ohio fishing license is required to fish at all other MetroParks of Butler County locations. If you are interested in purchasing an annual fishing permit, please visit the Voice of America Welcome Center during business hours. Children 10 years and younger are permitted to fish for free but only as catch and release unless they are fishing with an adult who has paid for a Single Daily Fishing Permit or has an Annual Fishing Permit. In which case, the child's catch will count towards the paid adult's daily limit.

Get up close and personal with Chrisholm MetroParks' equines! This class focuses on developing safe, confident, and respectful partnerships with horses and donkeys. Students will learn the foundations of horsemanship, including horse behavior and body language, safe handling practices, grooming, leading, tying, and basic groundwork exercises. This class focuses on groundwork and there is no riding. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paid adult.

Join Elisabeth Rothschild of Ohio Lepidopterists to discover how to attract moths to your backyard and explore fun ways to identify them. This program will include a short night hike. Dress appropriately for walking on dark, uneven terrain. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Experience Nature in a Blink, a year-long series where you become eyewitness to the elusive wonders of nature at your favorite MetroParks.

Each fall, monarch butterflies migrate up to thousands of miles to their overwintering sites in Mexico. Learn what makes these insects unique, as well as how to safely capture, tag, and release them. Become part of an international effort to contribute valuable data protecting this endangered phenomenon, and learn what you can do to promote their success.

The Chrisholm farm team will be available for you to ask questions and meet the animals who call Chrisholm MetroPark home.

Join the Friends of Chrisholm to explore the historic Augspurger House and learn about the family who once called it home. The program will start with a short talk on the functional role of cellars and bank barns on 1800s farmsteads. This will be followed by a tour of the Pennsylvania German historic bank barn, as well as the vaulted ceiling sub-cellar, thought to be the only existing one of its kind in Butler County.

Young Guns University is offering an archery clinic at no cost for ages 8-18 years old. Participants will learn archery basics, including steps to shooting with a bow and range safety rules. If you are experienced and have your own equipment, bring it with you. New to archery? We've got you covered! Equipment will be supplied for those who'd like to give it a try.
