Hump Day Concert Series- The Stagger Lee Band + World Ocean Day

Are you ready to rock out with MetroParks?!

Join MetroParks and presenting sponsor, UC Health, every Wednesday from May 25th to August 10th for FREE outdoor concerts at the Athletic Complex at Voice of America MetroPark in West Chester, Ohio. Come early to enjoy all new exciting pre-show activities and stay for the excellent food trucks and tunes.

6PM - 7PM: Learn about the wonders of waterways and the ground beneath us as you explore an educational trailer brought by our friends at Butler Soil and Water Conservation District for World Ocean Day. Two very special guests will also be joining the program- our MetroParks water loving program animals!

7PM - 9PM: The Stagger Lee Band- For many years they have performed from the clubs and concerts of the tri-state area to the recording studios of Nashville with their dynamic country music.

Creeking in the Parks

Join MetroParks and Butler Soil and Water Conservation District every Thursday in June and July from 10:00a.m. – 12:00p.m. as we explore creeks and waterways in the parks throughout Butler County.

We will be at a different park each week, so there are always new areas to explore! We'll look for creek critters such as: amphibians, insects, fish, reptiles, macroinvertebrates, and even fossils!

This week at the Line Hill Mound Area of Rentschler Forest MetroPark, we will investigate the pond and wetland areas at the park!

Please wear close-toed shoes for all creeking events. Based on unsafe weather and/or water levels, cancellations are possible. Please check back here, the MetroParks of Butler County website*, or the MetroParks Facebook page** for any potential updates.

Show & Tell on the Farm - Tree-riffic

Show and Tell is about our Tree-riffic trees and other woody plants on the farm. Let's explore their lives and why we have trees on the farm. Whooo lives in them? Do our farm animals eat trees? Fun activities, crafts and live animal demonstration, too.

During The Nature of Kids summer series, join MetroParks of Butler County with partners Butler Soil and Water Conservation District and Ohio State University Extension every Friday for exciting summertime fun!

This week, let's explore all things SUN! The sun is so very important to life here on Earth. Let's find out why! Have fun in the sun while staying safe with sun safety and fun crafts!

Certified Interpretive Guide Training

MetroParks of Butler County, in partnership with the National Association for Interpretation (NAI), is offering a 4-day training course for individuals in the field of Interpretation. It is designed for individuals who deliver interpretive programs or have contact with the public at interpretive sites.

Calling All Farmhands

Do you have what it takes to be a farmer? Find out during this free program through exciting games, crafts, and activities! Learn about farm life and farm animals, and even visit with some live farm animal friends!

Wetland Habitat Hike

Let's explore the wetlands and ponds at Liberty Township's Wetland Park - West! Insects, plants, and wildlife galore can be found on wetland sites. Join in with us to explore the habitat!

Star Gazing Series: Strawberry Moon

The full moon in June is known as the Strawberry Moon! Named so for the ripening summertime berries during the month of June.

Join in with volunteers from the Cincinnati Astronomical Society and Cincinnati Observatory as we take a peek at the moon, stars, and the night sky using telescopes in the park. Learn about the Supermoon that will take place mid-week on June 14th!

Yoga in the Park

Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility and helps to manage stress and anxiety levels. Yoga also offers relaxation, ways to better manage stress and the wonderful support of a warm and welcoming community! Practicing yoga outside in nature has proven to lower heart rate/blood pressure and even boost immunity!

Yoga in the Park will he held in the gazebo next to the lake at Voice of America MetroPark. Please bring your own mat.

Online registration is required by 5:00 p.m. on the date of the program.
