The Timber Hill Reservable Area at Rentschler Forest Preserve is the only public camping facility in Butler County reserved exclusively for organized youth groups. The THRC and MetroParks of Butler County need your help in improving, maintaining, and preserving this one-of-a kind camping facility for the youth of Butler County and surrounding communities. „h Take down and store tents for the winter

„h Remove invasive honeysuckle
„h Repair gravel paths and walkways
„h Plant a prairie
„h Landscaping and mulch
„h General camp cleanup and infrastructure improvements
„h Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
„h Enjoy lunch by the campfire. Hotdogs, chips and drinks will be provided.
„h A limited supply of tools are available. However, in some cases Volunteers may have to supply their own tools and equipment.
„h A list of tools, supplies and directions to camp will be emailed with your event confirmation.

First training: February 23, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm at Rentschler Forest MetroPark, Timberhill Activity Area- free lunch - Pick a day, a trail project and a park...great for individuals, businesses, youth groups and clubs- trail monitor, steward or buddy!
Health Nuts returns! Join MetroParks of Butler County, Soil and Water Conservation District and the OSU Extension Office for fun family summer programming. The series runs on selected dates June - August Each program has a different theme and will include education, recreation, health and a fun snack for all. Program is FREE of charge. All ages are welcome. This week the topic is mammals.
