Experience Nature in a Blink, a year-long series in which MetroParks offers opportunities throughout the year to appreciate fleeting natural occurrences.
Nature's in bloom, with flowers, trees, and shrubs all trying their best to attract pollinators. Hike with us to find the best spots for this seasonal display! Prepare for walking on uneven terrain and possible muddy conditions.

Discover the joy of backyard chickens! From chick to chicken, you will learn the ins and outs of managing your own flock. This course will teach you everything you need to know to have happy and healthy chickens. Bring fresh eggs and sustainable living to your own backyard!
Registration required.

Become a guest in nature's home as we hike the trails and explore how our animal friends find shelter and protection in the forest. Along the way, we'll practice some of our own wilderness skills, such as building safe campfires, all while being an eco-friend to the environment.
This program is for Brownie Girl Scouts. Scouts must be accompanied by a paid, participating adult.

The Chrisholm farm team will be available for you to ask questions and meet the animals who call Chrisholm MetroPark home.

Join the Friends of Chrisholm to explore the historic Augspurger House at Chrisholm MetroPark and learn about the family who once called it home.

Join us in the 2026 City Nature Challenge in Butler County, Ohio! You can be a part of this citizen science initiative from anywhere, whether in your own backyard or at any of your MetroParks. Learn more at https://www.citynaturechallenge.org/
Not sure how iNaturalist works? Come see MetroParks educators at Rentschler Forest or Voice of America MetroPark on Friday evening from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM for a hands-on demonstration.
