Join us each month for a casual one-hour walk for women to find community. This event is open to women aged 18 and up. Be sure to dress comfortably for the weather and varied terrain. We look forward to making new connections!

Animals are all around us if you know what to look for. Adventure out on the trails as we track the clues they leave behind and even play some of our favorite animal-themed games along the trail. From tracks, to sounds, and even scat, everything will get recorded in our handmade field notes.
This program is for Daisy Girl Scouts. Scouts must be accompanied by a paid, participating adult.

Butler County's renowned farming past and present collide at Chrisholm MetroPark for Fun on the Farm! Explore the historic grounds and tour the 1800s Augspurger House with the Friends of Chrisholm. Want to get the dirt on composting and foraging? Discover the self-sufficient farm lifestyle while learning from local demonstrators. Always wanted to raise your own chickens? Meet special guest animals and MetroParks' own farm ambassadors to get the full scoop. Wherever your wind vane turns, there's sure to be fun for the whole family!

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence by honoring two Revolutionary War patriots laid to rest at Indian Creek Pioneer Church. The church and its adjacent cemetery, Butler County's first public burial ground, were founded in the early 1800's.
Historian Brad Spurlock of the Smith Library of Regional History will explore the connection between national and local history through the lives and military service of Heman Adams and Thomas Boone, a cousin of Daniel Boone.
The program will include the planting of an Ohio Heritage Tree, followed by light refreshments.
