Join MetroParks and MidPointe Library staff at Voice of America MetroPark for some fun, colorful powder games. Wear white clothing for best results. Immerse yourself and others in beautiful colors. Powder and safety glasses will be provided. Participants must have an accompanying adult.

Find the fun side of nature when you become a Nature Explorer. This summer-long series shows you unique ways to get hands-on experience with nature and explore your favorite MetroParks.


Take inspiration from outside when we explore art in nature. Bring your imagination and nature will supply the rest as we create music, print with the power of the sun, and transform the trails into chalk masterpieces.

ID70: Insects

Celebrate MetroParks' 70th Anniversary as we reveal our 70 favorite elements of the park experience. From the fossil-filled creeks to the tops of the towering trees and constellations beyond, get an inside view of what makes the history and nature of your MetroParks so unique. Every ID70 program in 2025 spotlights seven interesting subjects in each category; attend all ten to add 70 new pieces of park and nature knowledge to your collection.


From the productive pollinator to the creepy crawler, stop buggin' out and learn to appreciate our arthropod friends when MetroParks' outdoor educators show you how to identify seven of our favorite insects.
