MetroParks Daily Fishing Permits-2025

This is to purchase a Daily Fishing Permit only. The Voice of America Lake is stocked annually in the spring. MetroParks fishing permits are only required to fish at VOA Lake. A State of Ohio fishing license is required to fish at all other park locations. If you are interested in purchasing an annual fishing permit, please visit the Voice of America Welcome Center during business hours. Children 5 years and younger can fish for free.
Ice Fishing is NOT Permitted.

Nature in a Blink: Salamander Migration

Experience Nature in a Blink, a year-long series in which MetroParks offers opportunities throughout the year to appreciate fleeting natural occurrences.

The moment the ground begins to thaw, the salamanders of Indian Creek are ready to go! Join us during this one night, special evening program to observe migration from forest to vernal pools where the salamanders can safely lay their eggs. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required.

Once the migration has been confirmed, pre-registered participants will be notified the night before or morning of the program and have until 2:00pm that day to confirm registration. All spaces not claimed by 2:00pm will be offered to those on the waiting list.

Registration is currently full! To be added to the waitlist, use the waitlist option below. If you run into any problems, call the phone number with the extension below. We will contact you if a spot becomes available.

Bring your own flashlight and we'll take care of the eggs. Reserve your start time to access our eggs-clusive egg hunt. Eggs-perts who find enough eggs can trade them in for a treat. Egg hunt timeslot options start at 8:00 PM, with the final hunt starting ten minutes before the program closes.

Need more eggs-citement? Visit with animal ambassadors to learn about eggs in nature. Ready for an eggs-tra challenge? Head out on the trail to spot even more eggs-quisite eggs.
